WASTE TO ENERGY GENERATION SYSTEMS

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

“In disposal of each 1-ton waste, minimum 1,5-ton water vapor energy is obtained,whereas electricity energy production can be achieved by adding steam turbine to the system. “

Disposal of sewage sludge and wastes in Turkey is done by systems that are not suitable for energy or raw material recycling. INEVA sets out a sustainable alternative by changing the classical disposal perspective with its facilities. The wastes that damage the environment and must be disposed of are used as a valuable energy source in INEVA technology.

It raises the wastes that are burned in the produced plants one step up in the waste hierarchy pyramid; prevents soil, air and groundwater pollution. In addition, electric energy production can occur by using these incinerated wastes can be as renewable energy fuel within the scope of biomass.

WHAT IS WASTE WATER AND WHY BE TREATED?

It is the water which is polluted as a result of domestic, industrial, agricultural and other uses or whose properties are partly or totally changed and which falls into the street, parking lot and similar areas of residential units as surface or subterranean flow.

Water output values used in houses or in the industry are limited according to the receiving environment standards and for those that do not comply with the limits, their values must be reduced below these limits through the processes to be done in wastewater treatment plants. Wastewater treatment plants are needed at this point.

WHAT IS SEWAGE SLUDGE AND WHY BE DISPOSED OF?

In the wastewater treatment processes, the fluidized wastes which are produced by passing the dissolved substances at the end of the biological treatment to the microorganism are named as “sewage sludge”. Sewage sludge is a product of wastewater treatment, and since the amount of sludge that accumulates day by day and correspondingly the area required for the storage of the sludge increases, disposal of the sludge has become a more vital necessity.

All pathogenic organisms, pollutants and chemicals consumed in processes in order to achieve the discharge limits in wastewater treatment plants, are turned into sludge. For this reason, sewage sludge contains harmful substances. These sewage sludges, which have great harm to human health and environment, can not be evaluated for any process but remains a good calorific value. Therefore, this sludge can be recovered to economy as energy through appropriate thermal processes.

THERMAL DISPOSAL

“According to the 2006 European Union Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Reference Document, it is appropriate to dispose wastes thermally by sand-type fluidized bed technology.”Thermal disposal is a complete combustion process that can be described as exothermic rapid oxidation of burnable substances in the sludge.

Superior aspects of thermal disposal;

  • Volume and weight of the sludge cake decreased about 95%.
  • Pathogens are completely destroyed.
  • Destroys or reduces toxins.
  • Energy recovery by thermal disposal of waste products is possible and this energy can be sold in renewable energy status.
