Standing out with its innovative applications in the field of sewage sludge disposal, INEVA Environmental Technologies sponsored the Uludağ University Student Environmental Congress (ULUCEK 2018) held at Uludağ University Prof. Dr. Mete Cengiz Cultural Center on March 30-31. Hosting students and environmental volunteers from various universities in Turkey, ULUÇEK 2018 addressed the following topics: “Sewage sludge, clean energy, climate change, ecological balance, sustainable environment.” Plaques were presented to those who contributed to the congress at the end of the program.

INEVA, which can generate electricity by using waste as a renewable energy source within the scope of biomass, presented the model of the facility that will generate electricity from the ‘Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plants’ in Gebze and Başiskele Kullar, operated by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (İSU), to the attention of the participants at the congress.

Speaking at the conference, INEVA Sales and Marketing Department Manager Oral Çimsöken conveyed the following: Climate change and the depletion of world resources are leading humanity to a crossroads. In this context, the emergence of a new system based on raw material, resource and renewable energy usage has almost become a necessity. As INEVA, we are working at full speed to eliminate treatment sludge, which has become a very important problem for the world, with the best technology available. During 2017, we have actually made an important problem solvable by eliminating 110 thousand tons of sludge thanks to our currently established facilities. Along with energy recovery, we are also increasing energy efficiency with sustainable technologies and high-performance materials.

Stating that 2017 is the year of structuring and gaining new projects for INEVA, Oral Çimsöken said, Our company, whose foundations were laid in 2004, is developing our thermal disposal and energy recovery system designs, which are our areas of expertise, with R&D studies and working with the vision of expertise dedicated to the environment and technology that adds value to waste. He commented: "We anticipate continuing to grow with this vision and provide new facilities to institutions in 2018."
