We attended Eurasia 2018 Waste Management Symposium

Standing out with its innovative applications in the field of sewage sludge disposal, INEVA Environmental Technologies participated in the EURASIA 2018 Waste Management Symposium held at Yıldız Technical University Davutpaşa Congress and Culture Center between May 2-4. Hosting all waste management parties such as universities, industrial organizations, public institutions and organizations, and local governments, the EURASIA 2018 Waste Management Symposium addressed all waste management areas including legislation, collection, transportation, treatment, recycling and recovery processes for municipal, hazardous, medical and other waste types.

Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Water Affairs and Forestry, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the symposium provided a comprehensive overview of effective waste management strategies in the Asian and European regions. It provided participants with the opportunity to evaluate current and future regional waste management strategies, meet face-to-face with projects and find global partners for possible future collaborations.

According to the Best Available Techniques Reference Document (BAT – BREF) of the European Bureau of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control on Waste Incineration, [GS1] Ineva, which uses fluidized bed technology as an innovative approach open to development, presented the energy recovery process they have carried out with high efficiency thermal disposal of sewage sludge coming to their facilities established with 100% domestic technology to the attention of the participants. The stand, which attracted great interest from academicians, private sector participants and students, discussed topics such as using waste as a renewable energy source, energy recovery and thermal disposal of sewage sludge.

Plaques were presented to those who contributed to the symposium at the end of the program. İlker Altıoğlu received the plaque given on behalf of INEVA from Prof. Dr. Ahmet Demir from Yıldız Technical University Environmental Engineering Department and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sinan Bilgili from Yıldız Technical University Environmental Engineering Department.
