The Workshop on Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Innovative Processes in Wastewater Treatment Plants held at the TÜBİTAK MAM Gebze Campus on November 21-22, 2017 was also attended by İNEVA Çevre Teknolojileri A.Ş.
The workshop, organized within the scope of the “Development of Energy Efficiency and Energy-Positive Wastewater Treatment Plants Project” conducted by the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Environment and Clean Production Institute under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, was attended by officials from universities, ministries, water and sewage administrations, as well as private sector representatives operating in treatment systems and renewable energy.
The workshop, which brought together institutions and organizations that have a say in the sector, aimed to transfer wastewater treatment plants operating in our country to energy-efficient technologies, to share research conducted within the scope of the project on renewable energy sources and technologies that can be used in wastewater treatment plants, and to ensure an exchange of ideas.
The workshop was organized by Dr. Following Selma AYAZ's opening speech, the project manager Dr. Selda Murat Hocaoğlu and Namık Ünlü from the Energy Institute began with information about the project and the purpose of the workshop. On the first day of the workshop, the subject of Renewable Energy and Biomass Energy for Wastewater Treatment Plants was discussed; on the second day, studies were carried out on the subjects of "Energy Efficiency and Innovative Processes in Wastewater Treatment Plants".
